Hot Spots and Satellite Internet
Hot spots and satellite internet connections do not always work with Locast apps for TV streaming devices(Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV). Public IP addresses associated with these networks are not usually associated with your true geolocation. IP addresses associated with these networks can be geolocated to just about anywhere in the world and will change each time you disconnect and reconnect your network.
If you are receiving a location error while attempting to use Locast on a TV streaming device while connected to one of these networks, please logout and re-activate the app. If this doesn't work you can submit a ticket with your IP address and zip code and attempt to reset your location, but if it doesn't work you will need to explore other ways to stream Locast.
If the only internet connection you have is a mobile hot spot or satellite internet connection, you may only be able to view Locast on devices that have location services built in. This includes PCs, tablets and mobile phones. If you have a device you can cast to(Chromecast or AirPlay), this may be a way for you to view your locals with Locast.org on your TV.
